What is a crisis? That Catherine hasn’t been seen lately? That a photo was badly photo- shopped? IMO, not a crisis.

At the very least this episode shows that the royal staff does not have a tight grip on their relationship with the press or public and the Queen would not be having any of this!

It’s an unmitigated PR disaster, at the very least. One British Embassy had to issue a formal statement today stating that ‘The King Is Not Actually Dead’. And he can’t show up on a brief video after that given that he’s supposedly well enough to be carrying out his official duties? The queen must be absolutely spinning in her grave.
Is it as bad as the growing famine in Gaza? Or the war in Ukraine? Of course not. But I do think it has exposed serious cracks in the Royal Family, not to mention is can’t-turn-away fascinating, even if only a fraction of it turns out to be true.
(Prince William’s reported lover Rose Hanley’s husband George Cholmondeley, who she married in a shotgun marriage, actually lives mostly in France with his longtime male partner, who in turn spent 2 years in prison for defrauding the billionaire heir to the L’Oreal fortune? WHA??? Who ARE these people??)
Lurid gossip aside, and as I said earlier, I really am worried about Kate. I believe that she’s a pawn and likely scapegoat (or even worse) and I do hope that she’s OK.

These photo stories will probably make a lot of celebrities nervous. I’ve never photoshopped and just assume there’s a lot of airbrushing so it’s interesting how people are scrutinizing Kate’s photos.
Twitter is right up there with the National Enquirer as my go to information resource for “fact” checking…

Well enough after an abdominal surgery that sidelined her for 2 months, to be speed-walking while carrying a bag and looking pretty healthy, but not well enough to do an actual UK Mother’s Day pic a week earlier? Hmmm…I smell a rat. Also, The Sun and TMZ literally do this for a living and all they could get was another grainy, far away video. I’m not even convinced its William.
Strange that no one around them is looking at them, even though the fate of the missing princess has been swirling in the news for weeks!

That was my first thought. Why is no one looking at them? I found that odd, especially considering the circumstances. I would think everywhere they go there’s security and things that would draw attention. Here, the president draws a crowd getting an ice cream cone.

I once saw Prince Albert in London and people were definitely excited and looking. His security was pretty unobtrusive but they made sure he was bundled into the car waiting for him very quickly once a crowd started to form. That said no one tried to speak to him or anything that I saw. But definitely a crowd gathered and people were excited and buzzy for a few minutes after.
I first read this as bundled into the CAN waiting for him

Maybe she’s locked up in the Bloody Tower in the Tower of London, never to be seen or heard from again----there IS a precedence for this in England… (insert sarcasm symbol)
A dumb thing but one thing that struck me in the Mother’s Day photo was that in the fitted jeans Kate was wearing her legs looked (for lack of a better word) larger and normal people “curvy” - not fat just not like a very lean machine.
In this “new” video at the market “her” legs are very very slim. Very straight and not curvy.
I’m surprised there isn’t more focus on whether that’s actually William or not.

Yes, her curvy legs also stuck out to me in the MD photo, too, but I didn’t mention it because I didn’t want to sound insane and obsessed. But, clearly, that ship has sailed so …

In the closeups stills of that video on Twitter, that is NOT Kate. The question is, are the closeups faked to stir controversy? Nowadays, with our technology, it’s quite easy to fake just about anything.
I follow the official Twitter account of the Royal Family, and they just posted a photo of King Charles meeting with military veterans. He looks fine.

Who has fathered not one, but two, illegitimate children. Whose wife was in South Africa without her children and out of the public eye for almost a year amidst wild speculation on her health and / or marriage. And since her return to Monaco (although some claim she is really living in Switzerland - again without her children) is rarely seen in public.
The Windsor family drama pales in comparison.
