Like - literally the most searched-for woman in the world at the moment, and not one fellow shopper, not one rogue paparazzo, not one quick-reflexed teenager whipped out a phone? And they were just wandering around without a phalanx of bodyguards? Just among the people looking happy and healthy??

For casual walking down the street, no.
And really, in no instance is it required. There will be an order for a receiving line, but that’s not walking.
It will be different when she’s Queen; then she would walk behind William. Unless protocol changes.

I don’t know much about the royal family, but I definitely had that wrong. I thought that Diana had to walk a couple steps behind Charles … so I have had that wrong for many years. Glad I asked.

I really don’t think it’s her! Too tall, but most of all it’s not her gait. Watch any video of her walking and compare it this supposed video of her. Even in a brief out-of-focus video, the gait difference is obvious. (And, really?? She just showed up in public and NO ONE got any good pics? Of the most searched-for woman in the world?)
And where the hell is Prince Charles – why haven’t we seen him during all of this? And why was the Sussex’s website linked back to the Royal Family’s just today?
I’m truly not the tin-foil hat type, but this all completely insane. I just saw a post said: if you’re currently a member of the royal family, stay in line!

You mean the King? Undergoing cancer treatments
As was Queen Elizabeth for the last 6 months of her life – turns out that she actually died of bone cancer, not just ‘old age’. But she still appeared in public even when she could barely stand.
And I’m not saying that he shouldn’t have his right to privacy, since of course under normal circumstances of course he should be able to undergo his cancer treatment in private. But this a crisis. And he is the King of England. Stiff upper lip and all, no?
I’m not saying it isn’t Kate in the video but who knows with 100% certainty? Kate is walking fast and carrying a big bag. I hope it is her because that would mean her recovery is going well.
Calling this a crisis seems the opposite of stiff upper lip, wot wot.
I also don’t think of myself of a tin-foil type and not a RF follower, but this is so weird that I am pretty obsessed.
I heard this described as QAnon for wine-drinking moms.
