Or you can “cold cap” which can prevent hair loss.
I hope Catherine puts her feet up and relaxes over the next couple of days. Naps are healing, even if they don’t resolve chemo fatigue.
With the multiple photos as well as video, you’d think this would put the conspiracy theories completely to bed. But nope, people on Twitter are claiming this is AI, all fake.
Good freaking grief, people.
I agree that she looked fabulous, but I couldn’t help wondering if that big bow on her dress was designed to cover up a port. An implanted port for delivering chemo might have shown as a slight lump and those high powered cameras can zoom in on such things.
My port stuck out like you wouldn’t believe. My chemo started on summer, so I just wore my usual tank tops- I wasn’t self conscious about it. But a lot of my cancer friends covered it up.
News that Kate will be at the Wimbledon final on Sunday!
That’s very good news. There’s just a small part of me that wishes she had chosen to present the trophies at the women’s final today. That said Carlos vs Novak should be a good match!
I do hope this is a positive sign for her treatment and recovery.
It’s more a sign that her husband is at the soccer final…
A bright spot today to see Kate looking well with Charlotte & Pippa.

Edit: the video is touching, showing family moments with Kate’s voiceover of the official statement.
Thank you for sharing that.
I wish her well. However, the “doing what I can to stay cancer free” sounds a little troubling as does the idea that she’ll take on engagements “when she can”. Appears she is far from being able to really return full-time.
Yes, and nine months of chemo is a lot!
That seems extremely long. Adverse reactions can extend the treatment plan.
That was a beautiful and moving video.
My cousin’s 22 year old daughter had 9 months of chemo for sacroma. It was abdominal which is where the cancer was found in Kate. I obviously have no idea if Kate has sacroma but my cousin’s doctors said that sarcoma often requires a longer course of chemo than other things, especially when it is a later stage. And sacroma is often likely to return. My cousin’s lovely daughter also took steps to try to keep it from coming back, especially based on diet (no sugar, limited carbs) She had about 8 cancer free months but then the cancer returned sadly.
My daughter as everyone here knows had breast cancer. After she finished her chemo, radiation and reconstructive surgery, she still is on the road to recovery.
She’s still on medication that makes her tired and makes her feel ill. Because of the cancer, she tries and eat cleanly and exercises. Because completing chemo is only the beginning of the journey and not the end.
The video & statement were lovely - so nice to see her and her family!
