I was deferred and am considering retaking the standardized tests. However, I was wondering whether you would reccommend retaking the ACT or the subject tests. Do you know if one is weighed more than the other. What do you suggest?

If it helps, my ACT was 27 and my subject tests were lit: 580 and math2: 510. Obviously well below the average…

Thank you.

However will they accept scores that late? The next ACT test date is in Feb. I definitely take the ACT again.

Then again you still have the option to take both right?

Since I was deferred, all updates have to be in by March 1st. And no, I can’t take both. Sadly, I can only afford to take one. Both would be like $100, which I don’t have to spend on standardized tests.lol

Well it really depends on how much you feel you can improve on either tests. Honestly if you don’t think you can improve your SATIIs to around 650 I say opt for the ACT, which IMO would be easier to improve on. I believe with a couple of practice tests you could probably improve your ACT to 30.
