My D did her Penn interview over the phone. Maybe that is an option?
@BDJ1125 I drove about 35 minutes for my Penn interview.
Does anyone have any info on Penn likely letters? I heard that they typically send the nursing ones in mid-feb. Anybody get one? Thanks.
see my post #50 above
Thanks @momzilla2D. I did read that. Seems like the posting is from many years ago (class of 2017 means 2013, right?) When we visited campus, the nursing student we had lunch with said that she received her likely letter in mid feb 2 years prior, so we started our hoping last week…
@nswizzle88 Yes, it is from 2013, but since it’s still up on the alumni site, I thought it may still be relevant. And in any case, it seems like very few people get them, so I wouldn’t get my hopes up. If you do get a likely letter, great, that’s obviously good news. But if you don’t, don’t worry, it’s not bad news. (So few people get them, that I’m not sure anyone in prior years’ threads reported getting one. Can’t recall for sure, since it’s been a minute since I searched.)
Thanks @momzilla2D - based on my (unfortunately extensive) research, I think it may be bad news for the nursing school only if you don’t get one. I think they send them out to the nurses.
Here is one of my sources:

When candidates do report getting likely letters from penn, it is almost always a nursing applicant. I’ll stop obsessing now, though, and head to yoga!
My son just received an email, from an alumnus in another country, for a virtual interview via Skype or Telephone.
@OverseasFather congrats.
I still have not got an interview.
My daughter also scheduled a skype interview for this weekend. We live in PA.
@maddy09 It looks like the interviews will continue into at least for the first week of March. So there is still time, and hopefully you too will be contacted soon.
Does everyone also see a note from penn re: corona virus on their portal?
@egellocnoos as a Parent, I don’t have access, can you share the gist of what it says?
@egellocnoos I have that note too, I think it is on everyone’s portal.
@west2east20 it says something like: penn is following updates on the spread of corona virus and they extend their support.
It’s on the homepage of the portal.
I agree with @kobe248224 . I think it’s a general message to everyone.
Coronavirus Update
We at Penn are closely following updates on the spread of coronavirus around the world. We wish to extend our sympathy and support for those who have been impacted.
We realize that you may require special accommodations over the coming months. Please know that our office is available to respond to inquiries at any time to help alleviate concerns, and we will be sensitive to delays or restrictions put in place that would prevent you from reaching us.
If you have any immediate questions, please contact our office at applicants@admissions.upenn.edu.
Many thanks @OverseasFather
I’m an international student from a country where no alumni are present.
However, I’ve received interview offers via Skype from other universities.
Does not getting an interview by now indicate that all hope is lost for Upenn?
