if you go to inspect element on your penn portal and search for “admit”, does the code for the admitted students group on facebook show up? (.facebook_admit)
im probably overthinking this and it probably means nothing but my harvard portal does this too, and the harvard portal also shows “wait-list” in a ton of places while the penn portal doesn’t
edit: my cornell and princeton portal also have these links so i don’t think it means anything
it doesnt show up for me

i think everyone has it; here are the directions:
on either safari or google chrome (it HAS to be one of these) go to your penn portal
log in and everything
on the first page (under home) (i don’t think what page you’re on is crucial)
right click (anywhere on the screen), and then select “inspect element”
a bar should show up at the bottom of your screen.
at the top right corner of that bar, there should be a search box
in that search box, type “admit” and click enter
on the left, a bunch of little lines of code should show up that say
“table.admit,table.enroll” and “facebook_admit” or something else with “admit”
as i said earlier, it probably means nothing at all, but that’s what i was talking about

are you sure nothing is coming up? it shows up on ALL of my portals (penn, harvard, princeton, duke, and like 5 others)
@powerofstem7000 i believe penn sends out LLs the first week of march and ONLY for nursing

@throwaway0324 Yah it’s not coming up for me. I checked Harvard and it says “admitted-student-website” a couple of times but nothing for Penn. I tried on Chrome and Microsoft Edge and still nothing. Maybe it does mean something?
@powerofstem7000 I checked the last couple of years and apparently they send out about 200 LLs and normally they come out on March 1st. This year, March 1st was a Sunday so the admissions office was closed but the last time that happened (2015), they sent them out on March 3rd. I don’t know for sure if they’re ONLY for nursing but based on the past few years, Nursing majors do seem to receive them at a much higher rate. In 2018 they also sent out a batch on like March 12th. Either way, if you don’t get a LL it’s not a big deal since it’s only about 10% of RD admits.

@throwaway0324 My computer works a bit differently from yours, but I do not have any results popping up for admit or waitlist. I asked a friend who’s really into cs and he says he doubts that colleges would put anything up early
@imabigOof there’s also a couple things with enrollment along with a few of the “admit” things but again, i really don’t think it means anything

I’m pretty sure whoever built the portal has those pages/tables/links already coded in the general portal not for specific individuals. It’s just hidden from everyone right now and only will be accessible to the admitted ones when the decisions are out.
Yeah, I don’t have much of an idea of how code and inspect element works, but I’m pretty sure these are available based on where they’re placed under "shared’’ and base.css!
Hello, new to this thread…does Penn let you know of any FA documents you are missing? Has anyone received emails or messages in their portal to this effect?
