me too, I was waitlisted at SEAS, and no one got off. but a big chunk of them were WL for CAS.
no one can tell you mate, itâs just luck and destiny.
Review section C2 of the CDS for historical waitlist data. Please donât pin your hopes on getting off the waitlist though. Hopefully, you have some acceptances and are excited about those options.
@moutainsoul I already checked the CDS for historical data. The problem is Penn does not reveal stats per each school as every Penn school e.g. CAS, SEAS & Wharton, in my opinion, will have different waitlist admitted students.
Have you already submitted an update document, such as a letter of continued interest? Penn used to allow only one update/submission to students on the waitlist. Maybe someone can confirm if thatâs still the case.
ye i read that somewhere! i havenât submitted the letter but i will be by the end of this week
honestly donât know if they accept past 3 weeks after⊠in previous years they set deadlines
their waitlist faq says they accept up until may 1st
I applied to SEAS intending to major in CS. I am an international student who needs a full-ride scholarship. From my country, two were accepted one CAS full ride, and the other Wharton close to full pay. Last year, they took 4 from my country on full rides.
What can be my chances of getting off the WL and receiving a full ride?
I am from Tunisia! @Sophomore_at_UPenn
does anyone know of people that got off the waitlist before may 1st? i hear waitlist movement will probably happen after may 1st, but was just curious!
anyone receive any updates/call the admission office??
Is there any news on the WL? Anyone has called the AOs or emailed them? Do they plan to take students out of the WL this year?
called admissions and they said theyâve started the process (idk if this means people have been taken off yet or not but def sounded like it) ⊠I have no update
Let me know if any WL movement has happened.
Waitlisted applicant, finally had my FAFSA received by Penn over the weekend. Submitted early January
do you all know if penn is need-blind or need-aware for waitlisted applicants?
I think that it is need-blind for residents of the US, Canada and Mexico.
Can someone please call penn admissions and ask about their waitlist? its may 7th and its pretty late
No oneâs gotten off yet. Historically (as in looking through past threads), people have gotten off around May 20. Going back further, it was around May 9. So, this year it could be between any of those dates (and then ofc they might take 1-2 in June or august but if youâre not in the first wave in may, donât bank on it).
