@collegeready33 Very true. I’m pretty nervous but excited as well. UPenn is my dream school!
I’m planning on applying to LSM by the way and Wharton as my secondary.

hey ! I’m planning on applying ED to UPenn and to the CAS as well
Have you guys started on your applications?
I’m drafting out my common app essay, my Penn supplement and I have finished the activity section of my common app.
I am just now starting on both essays
Hey everybody!! Can’t believe I already have some fellow juniors who want to go UPenn as much as I do! :)) What schools/majors is everyone interested in? Anyone really interested in Digital Media Design in SEAS?
as a now-whartonite who applied (very late) last year, oh no. the grind has started.
I’m trying to apply to Wharton ED this year but I’m so scared tho I think the whole being an Asian male and the negative stigma with college admissions with that really scare me, but I think one thing that’ll help is that I’m low income with 4 siblings, 2 already in college, so I mean I’ve gotten my apps started and probably will grind out my essays soon.
omg I can’t believe someone made a thread about this in January. I’ll be applying ED to CAS. Four months and we’ll know!!! I’m taking subject tests next weekend. Any tips for math 2 and bio?
@kaiserJJ I talked to an admissions officer about being asian bc I am as well. She told me that there’s no racial quotas like Harvard so we won’t be penalized.
Penn like Harvard believes in affirmative action lol. im asian too and until it is officially banned, they’ll keep on practicing it, although they would never call it penalizing asians. I highly doubt the admission officer said racial quotas like Harvard, because penn has come out publicly in support of harvard in its current court case.
does anyone have an idea on Wharton acceptance rates, both Early and Regular
@collegekid2024 penn doesn’t release stats for individual schools. SOMEHOW poets & quants (https://poetsandquantsforundergrads.com/school-profile/university-of-pennsylvania-the-wharton-school/) said Wharton’s overall acceptance rate this year was 6.49% but how they got that number who knows
regarding early and regular, again, it’s a mystery because Penn doesn’t release that info.
If you are choosing a college for ED or just want to learn more about a school, a project founded by Dartmouth students are trying to connect high schoolers with current undergrads, so you can shadow a college student through his/her day and preview campus culture and fit.
Immersive campus tours can help you write better “why [this school]” supplements. Currently, we have hosts at all the ivies and expanding. At Penn we also have Wharton hosts. Feel free to let me know if you have more questions. You can sign up for a visit at ivyscope.io.
Chance me to UPenn ED:
Thanks!
everyone’s chances are slim…just some more than others…Penn accepted 7.4 percent of applicants this year…just do your best everyone
-current Penn sophomore
