@indillin I am sure that everyone has an aspect of their application that may be weaker than most. For me, my test scores might be a bit lower than the average, but Penn being my top school it is worth the shot to apply. Good luck to you and stay positive!
@frazzled14 Please take this speculative answer as just that— speculative.
Wharton had 526 undergrads matriculate for 2020. Assuming that the yield of Wharton was about 80%:
526/.8 = 658 acceptances sent out (both ED & RD)
Now approximately 54% of students were accepted ED:
658.54= 355 Wharton acceptances ED
Now the overall acceptance rate of Penn was 9.9% (assume Wharton’s is 6.5%)
658/.065 = 10123 applications each year
Last year, 5762 students applied ED (of 38918 total applicants)
5762/38918 = about 15% of applicants applied ED
Using that info with the Wharton applicants:
.1510123 = 1519 students applied ED to Wharton
To calculate the ED acceptance:
355/1519 = 23.3% of Wharton ED applicants got accepted
The overall ED acceptance was 23.2% lol…
AGAIN THIS IS SPECULATED
Wow just remembered how much I really want to go to Penn
@doorrealthe @jambajuice penn accepted 54.4% of their class ED last year

Otherwise, I am buying a 5 lb bag of gummy bears, a Venti Iced Chai from starbucks, and some salt and vinegar potato chips, then crying for the weekend.

My e-mail update from Penn wasn’t nearly as long. It said : "We will post admissions decisions for Early Decision applicants on Friday, December 9, 2016 at 3:00pm ET. Your decision can be viewed by visiting your Penn Applicant Portal.
We have enjoyed getting to know you through this process."
I wonder why our notifications were written differentl.
