@srtb1999 If I recall correctly, in the past the chance of being deferred and admitted is similar to a regular admission applicant, and maybe even slightly better.
Just curious: do you guys see “-2017” right after the Common App ID on your Penn applicant portal? It used to be just the ID without “-2017.”
I see the “-2017” too. Does everyone else?
I do too @isitfridayyettho @sfuaa123 does everyone else??
I see it too
I see the “-2017” too
Yes, I see it too
Maybe we’re looking a little too closely at things?
Yeah I see it too
It still says the same stuff under aid right
Does not applying for financial aid and applying for a relatively less in demand major help as an international applicant? (Systems Engineering)
I’m not sure it matters
yup, see it as well !
It’s been there the whole time
Question for college applications in general- think being a woman in science actually helps?
Also it’s killing me because I won’t be able to open my thing until I get home 40 minutes later because I’m afraid to open it at school because i don’t want to be disappointed at school
@slb2299 i think being a woman in engineering helps, but not necessarily for sciences. Especially because biology and chemistry are both impacted majors at most large research universities, such as penn.
I cannot believe this!! we are only 15 hours away from the HELL omg T_T
What is incredible to me is that Penn has 6,000 applicants for about 1,300 ED seats. That will leave about 1,140 seats for regular decision. Then another 34,000 applicants are going to apply for those 1,140 seats. That is crazy.
Thanks @seanelle just wondering what everyone thinks about that
