Popping over from the Cornell thread, we just got our decisions today and it’s been a huge relief to get a decision. So looking back a couple hours ago, here’s a few things I would have done differently: just try to relax and get a good nights sleep, it definitely helps! Also distract yourself with classes before the decision, it makes time go by way faster. Finally, remember that everything will work out in the end!
@Much2learn that’s basically the whole allure of applying ED. The chances are higher and if it’s your first choice, why not! The date is officially December 9th, 2016 in Eastern Standard Time. Good luck to everyone (and myself lol) on your decisions today!!!
@rathin regarding financial aid yes if you are an international student it helps if you do not apply for financial aid since Penn is need-aware for internationals. Regarding the major no, it does not make any difference, since you can very easily change your major once in. Also Penn gets a lot of applications for systems engineering (since it is one of the few top colleges that offer it).
So so so so this is what it feels like to match wits with someone at your level what the heck is the catch it’s the feeling the freedom seeing the lights it’s Ben franklin with a key and a kite- you see it right? (S/o to LMM)
aaaaa I can’t stop panicking. Supposed to be preparing for ACT on Saturday (taking it in the likely event that i am rejected) but I CANT CONCENTRATE. good luck you guys!
hahah not to get too political in here, but Trump was no ordinary transfer student. He came from a wealthy and well-connected family who had good connections with Penn admissions and a lot of money to donate. His son-in-law, who went to Harvard, also had similar background. It is doubtful whether either of them could have gotten into Penn and Harvard if they didn’t have the family background they have.
lol the weirdest thing just happened, i’ll take it as a positive sign though, i got a facebook notification saying “Join the Upenn community to see what’s happening around campus.” like super random…
@plshelpmicollege yeah recent grads decided either to test their limits or get back at a teacher (motive unknown). They stole a bunch of high-end tablets and set fire to cover their tracks.
@Dartmouth_21 i don’t think i’ve been looking at anything related to berkeley lately. i’ve been stalking my penn friends far more often than my Berkeley friends. I’m really not sure why fb would suggest me to join Berkeley’s group…
