Deferred - The funny thing about this whole thing, is I don’t feel anything. It played out exactly how I expected, but I feel like I’ve improved as a person during this whole process. I’m genuinely feel happy for everyone who got in. And for those who didn’t, it’s going to be okay:)

apparently upenn admitted 22%, and they filled 55% of their class of 2021 with ed - 1,354 into a class of 2,445. it’s crazy how many people were rejected / deferred here on cc though!

I GOT IN TO CAS! To those unhappy with the outcome: there’s gonna be an institution on your RD list that you’re going to LOVE and they’re going to love you too!! It’s a shame we can’t all get in but that’s the unfortunate way it is. Good luck to everyone with whatever the outcome is right now and with the future

This is not the “end of your journey”; t’s actually just the beginning. Getting into the top schools is such a crapshoot versus when I applied in the 1980s. (Yes, father here…his mother and I are both alums…he’s applying RD.) A single acceptance or rejection in no way defines you. It may feel that way today, but trust me: there is a lot more great stuff coming. Godspeed.
