@runswimyoga Yeah! I think that’s the one I saw! So I don’t think the contents and concepts change completely, but they culminate and build upon each other into the senior project.

And so the countdown continues. I’m just having a hard time coming to terms with this process. I have become so cynical about the whole college admissions system and particularly towards legacies,athletes, and URM, even though it is not their fault that they are beneficiaries of a broken system. In many ways, I feel like the whole system of college admissions is truly emblematic of the forces which catapulted Trump to the Presidency, whether you like him or not. The system is or at least is perceived to be rigged at the very top and arguably the very bottom, leaving the vast majority of applicants in the middle to duke it out without any advantages(unintentional college pun lol), even anti-hooks like in the case of Asian Americans. I hope that we can all recognize just how flawed the system is whether we get in or not without holding grudges towards those who were fortunate to get in and feeling inadequate about ourselves if we don’t. Hey guys! So my dad went to Penn so we do know some people involved in this whole process. I know someone who works in engineering and while they are not an admissions officer they emailed my dad last night saying they have no idea when decisions will come out yet, apparently there is a lot of stuff still to happen and admissions is probably behind.
@skiing26 so does this mean the other persons comment saying it’ll be the 15th may not be right?
Well there was another guy who “interned at the admissions office” and said that they would release the date by 5 PM on Friday, and that obviously didn’t happen, so it’s likely the other person isn’t correct either…
I would assume the 15th is accurate simply because the people seem to have a lot left to do. I think the 9th is possible if they were to finish the apps but i think the committees are still in review
We can’t know for sure so I guess we’ll just have to see come Monday!
Do they post decisions through the portal or via email? Both maybe?

It’s not unprecedented for college to defer everyone whose apps they didn’t get to review in time. Rip
@MALABARCOAST2014. You are right. The entire process is vague and subjective. The process is kept that way so that the admissions are not accountable. It is not a merit based system. There is some peripheral guidance but nothing concrete. Basically they can pick and choose whoever they want without any repercussions.
Does anyone know what time results have come out in past years?
@insula Apparently it was 3pm last year and 5pm the two years before that
EST? agh I hope its 3! Not sure what I’d be doing for those two hours between school and 5 haha
@insula lol I am flying (internationally) on the 15th so I wouldn’t be able to know until I land which is like the day after!! sucks. praying it’s not the 15th
