UPenn ED Class of 2023

Im thinking same thing with Ivies. Calling it the Harvard lawsuit effect.

Numbers were tough - 23% Legacy, 13% international, 11% 1st Gen, 48 % URM. Tough equation for a 2nd Gen caucasian whose parents went to State schools and bust their tail every day to give me the best opportunity. I think my parents are more upset than I am. They really wanted me to take the next step up and thought that Penn was the best option.

Can someone post here the deferral message?

For those that got rejected or deferred from Wharton, where else are you applying and what are your long term career goals?

When is the last day to withdraw your others early action applications?
The admitted student checklist says first you must accept offer of admission by Jan 8 (which I did yesterday). Then the next step is to withdraw other applications (but it didn’t say the deadline to do that). When could it be???

Hey new to this whole thing but found out I got into Huntsman!

I know that 16% of deferred applicants were accepted during RD last year, but does anybody know what percent of applicants were deferred this year?

Congratulations @flyguy2 !

i got accepted to CAS !!

@confringo Supposed to withdraw your other apps as soon as possible

@waterbear Into SEAS as well! Definitely interested in joining

deferred here, how bad would 2 B’s be in my mid-year report when I send it to penn, would it put me completely out of the running?

nope

what grades on the end of the year report will cause an acceptance to be rescinded?

@yellowhello C’s probably. i’d try to keep all a’s and b’s

Are you in college? What school do you go to right now?

alright GG boys just finished up RD apps after that deferral

@nellyone samee haha
kinda felt like i was cheating on penn lmao

Just curious, did anyone from India get into Penn ED? Also, do any of you guys know the difference in acceptance rates between CAS and Wharton for International Students RD?
