IMO it is not worth taking a student loan of 200k for UPenn or Cornell. UPenn is a reach and Cornell is a low reach imo.

@yoyohi Thanks for commenting! Could you recommend some Match/Safety Schools…

You post here quite frequently…same information.

However I just noticed that you wrote on your list “Intel ISEF Semi-finalist”. What exactly do you mean by that? There are no semi-finalists in the ISEF competition, only the STS.

@sgopal2 by semifinalist I mean I was selected for my countries national Fair. I didn’t know how to put it so I put Semifinalist.

I don’t think $200k in loans is worth it for any school (for undergrad, at least). What do you want to major in? Do you have a preferred location? What type of school environment do you like? Answering those questions will help you narrow down potential colleges.

@SJNccc Thanks for commenting! My intended major is CS. UPenn has exactly the environment which I desire(CS+ Entrepreneurship).

200K a lot, especially for undergrad. I feel like careers and jobs matter more where you go to grad school. Still, if you are fine doing this, then UPenn is a great choice. Your grades are a bit low for it, but your SAT scores may make it up.

Be careful with listing yourself as an Intel ISEF semi-finalist. An astute reader will know this is BS. If you were not in fact invited to attend ISEF, then you really can’t call yourself a semi-finalist. I suggest to list as COUNTRY science fair finalist
