I’m filling out the transcript request form for my college counselor, and one of the boxes I have to check is whether this college requires materials be MAILED BY or RECEIVED BY the given deadline.

They really are planning ahead to cut it that close? I would say received by to be safe. It doesn’t sound like they are planning to get it out any sooner than the last possible minute and I wouldn’t want to risk being part of that plan.

Or you could wait till admissions is back in the office and ask someone there ;-)

The college will give leeway to forms submitted by the HS. you’re fine.

Do you think there’s an “auto reject” button for everyone who has one or two docs that come in past the deadline? They spend $100s of thousands to get great applications. Will they just delete yours for this minor issue?

Do you know what happens when a HS fails to submit a doc on time? Someone from Penn CALLS them to ask for it.
