Before I finalize my list, it’d be nice to have some input.

Here’s what I have in mind:
UPenn (reach)
Stanford (just for fun…xD)
Northwestern
Georgetown (maybe)
UCLA, UCB
Safeties: UCI, UCSD

Stats

—School Info: Southern Californian, urban, mid-sized public school. Admits something like 10+ students to Ivies a year (ish). The UCs love us.

—Unweighted GPA: 3.84 (4.00 w/o freshman year)
—Weighted GPA: 4.29 (4.42 w/o freshman year)
—UC GPA: I forgot exactly, but it’s above a 4

—SAT I: Math - 770, CR - 630 (gah), Writing - 730 = 2130
—SAT II: Math IIC - 740, Chemistry - 760

—APs: Chemistry (5), English Language and Comp (4) ; currently taking US Gov & Politics, Literature, Physics, and Calculus BC

—Class Rank: No rankings, I’m in the first decile (top 10%) of 640~ students

ECs - Kind of weak. These are just the important things.

—Church Youth Group Vice President, and currently Co-President ~ involves speaking to the congregation, helping make decisions for community service projects, etc.
—**Varsity Lacrosse/b ~ Awarded Best Defensive player
—**Club Lacrosse/b ~ Awarded Best Defensive player
—**Lacrosse coach/b ~ for middle schoolers
—School Leadership retreats ~ they only did this for two years
—Japanese Classes - started over summer to get some culture in me (I’m fourth generation). Planning to take the AP.

NOTES
-It’s an odd situation. I think I would have more sports, activities, etc, but I was very busy with gymnastics until winter of freshman year. I did gymnastics for seven years, and seriously thought I’d go to college doing it. I quit for a variety of reasons, including injury.

-On the west coast, lacrosse is just starting to gain popularity. I joined a club the season after the club was formed. Girls lacrosse just became a high school sport last year. It may not be around again this year. If the school permits us to play another season, then I’ll probably be a captain, but it’s a spring sport so it won’t show on apps.

-I took summer school every summer except this most recent one. Not for repeating courses, but to make sure my course load during the school year would be workable.

Other Info:
—Recommendations: Spanish teacher from 9th and 11th grade - will probably be good, but not best in career. Math teacher from 9th and 11th grade, similar (if I can get a hold of him, he just resigned). My counselor is brand-spanking new this year, so I don’t even know. I can probably get my Youth Group leader to write me a really great one.
—Parents: No legacies in my family. [they went to UCs]
—Financial stuff: Tuition costs aren’t a big deal, I have a rich grandma (lol). My dad’s a teacher, so while we have savings from when he had a business job, we have little income (which is why I didn’t do any summer programs, lacrosse camps, etc).
—Planned major: Not completely sure. I really have no desire to pursue science. Or math. I’ve recently become more inclined towards economics/business areas.

I’d love to see what you guys have to say
I know my SAT scores aren’t the strongest, and my ECs aren’t fantastic, but I’m really hoping for the best.

Chance me, or suggest a school that you or someone you know loves/d. For financial reasons, I haven’t visited any college outside of CA. I rely completely on what people say. There’s only so much college search engines/books can tell you.

I like big cities.
I tend to like blue states, but I’m all ears.
