guys this is kinda sad
imagine if this year was like 18-19 and they only take 9 people off the waitlist ■■■■■. in any case though i hope u guys have begun to love the colleges you got accepted to! you guys r all of great caliber and youll succeed even if you dont get off the waitlist :))
It shouldn’t be that low. Otherwise they wouldn’t mention admitting 40-150 students in our WL letters. Shouldn’t that mean they anticipate admitting one or half hundred (Copium

Well. I do love my present university (started classes in summer semester) in my home country. But without UPenn, I won’t be studying in the US 
Same,I am waitlisted at Upenn and two other colleges with any acceptances my US dream are crushed after working on it for like 6 years

its been two days (one whole business day) since I emailed them, and they haven’t replied yet. Makes me tensed as hell

I called today and the admissions person from Penn said “they have begun the process of admitting people off the waitlist. They started Ma1 and will continue through the summer” I asked if there was anything else we needed to do, they said “no. beyond a LOCI and current transcript from counselor there is nothing else we recommend you do”
I think I will settle in to my admitted school which I am excited about. I think the yield at Penn must have been really high.

maybe she meant summer as in the four season format. that would be end of june
Schools occasionally take WL students as late as August. If students who were planning to show up cannot – illness or injury, financial crisos, visa problems – a place will open up and the school may fill it from the WL. This is NOT a lot of students.
BTW, at this point, Penn is probably filling holes from the regular round and from students who deposited and are now getting WL offers from schools they prefer. Iow, not “waves”.
