not sure which college!! i asked him how he knows and he said he’s had kids in previous years consistently gotten off on the second thursday after may 1 + he said he heard some campus rumor.
i wouldn’t put my money on it being 100% true if penn’s yield is super high this year they might not do this “wave” on thursday! all we can do is have fingers crossed
Anyone know if yield might be lower this year especially among internationals due to the political climate ? I know a few people who changed their minds abt studying in the US n one of them had an offer from pen cas so
Yes. Yield should be lower. Moreover, Visas might take longer this year. So if Penn needs to take internationals from WL, they need to do it right now…
Even if international yield ends up being lower this year, Penn (and others who released RD around end of March) had plenty of time to build that into their admitted applicant pool. Meaning, these schools may have initially admitted more applicants of the type where the school may have anticipated lower yield.
I was thinking the same because we’ll need to get the i20, apply for a visa and wait for an appointment which we then have to wait for to get processed too.
I need to know if my passport will be gone for the whole summer
I know that the first wave has historically been on Thursdays, but given that they did not release last Thursday, is there any chance they would release decisions today, tomorrow, etc.? (Before this Thursday)
Has the WL at Penn been moving? I’m seeing some of those college counselors announcing there’s movement on their socials, but it’s strange we aren’t seeing anything here
Where ? The only person on social media I trust is holle Becker. But if the WL was moving significantly there would be people here and on Reddit informing us
