i keep checking my portal, hoping for the best 
What I don’t understand is why UPenn waitlists 3-4k kids every year, when they know they will accept less than 150 each year, and especially if they only took 40 last year. Why do these schools create unnecessary stress?

THE 40 WAS FOR CLASS OF 2027, we wont know last years stats until they release it on or around july or june or smth in their common data set
NVM it was 2028 !!!
The number of waitlisted student have been reducing all years, so hopefully the trend follows this year.

2019-2020 had only 9 off the waitlist…given this year saw the most applications ever I think this year’s number will be close to that

he sent me “proof” which was a screenshot of the typical acceptance to the SEAS date : may 9th 2025. He said he goes to a feeder school. I asked him what his friend did and said “beats me”.

I still don’t believe it. That much is easy editing, and WL acceptances are usually a wave. For whole day, having one person getting off is sus.
