UPenn?

I’m a junior in highschool.

I’m female, white, and want to be a child & adolescent psychologist.

My “current weighted percent GPA” is 98.22 (it should be a bit higher because my teacher made some mistake in Powerschool and one of my grades is currently an 85 when it’s not supposed to be :/), and no we don’t use the 4 point system. I don’t know how to find my unweighted GPA right as I’m posting this. Class rank is 43/603.

AP classes I’ve taken/am going to take: AP US History 1, AP US History 2, AP Art History, AP European History, AP English 12, AP German, AP Psychology

AP tests I’ve taken/am going to take:
Art History (my score was a 4/5, this is the only one I’ve taken so far because it was in sophomore year),
US History (there’s only one test for the whole two years),
Language and Composition (this is for an 11th grade AP English class, but currently my school only offers “AP Prep” to juniors - however, my English teacher is kind enough to be preparing us for this AP test that we haven’t even taken the class for so if I do well on this it’ll definitely look good)
Literature and Composition (12th grade English)
European History
German Language
Psychology

Clubs:
Newspaper (editor of a section, perhaps head editor of the entire thing next year if my social anxiety disorder doesn’t prevent me from taking on such a big leadership role)
One of two leaders of Pieces, a literary magazine club
One of the first people selected to be a member of Project Unify, new at my school this year
SURE (Students United for Respect and Equality)
Friends of Rachel
Threads (the fashion club, though I’m only in it because I’m in the sewing class and so I helped with a fundraiser and will be helping with the fashion show in June)
GSA, also new to my school this year
I was dumb and didn’t bother with NHS this year but definitely will next year.
I also plan on being in the National German Honors Society as well.

I haven’t taken my SATs yet. What score is recommended? I’m assuming above 2000. My PSATs were 74 in reading, 52 in math, and 57 in writing, so there’s obviously two areas I need to work on, though I’m absolutely terrible in math.

I know that I’m not the absolute best student, but I figure at least trying won’t hurt me. If they reject me, oh well.

For Penn, you will want a 2100 SAT. What is your unweighted grade percent? Colleges like UPenn do not use the weighted grades/GPA/

If you can get around a 2200 sat i say you got a shot at getting in but definitely try to get your gpa as high as you can! Good luck!
Please chance me back!

You sure has a good program for developmental psychology?

Penn is obviously competitive so I would certainly aim for a higher gpa/class rank (don’t know how competitive your school is but at least top 5% if it’s a typical high school) and 2150+ SAT (which, seems like there’s some work to do to get here) - this will just get you considered. If you can step up your roles in your current involvements, use your summer productively ECs might be ok. But if you can’t get close to the SAT target, I would not waste too much time on Penn since there are plenty of other good options out there.
