-Accepted into a Pre-College Program at Emory University this summer and took a non credit course in Neuroscience
-I’ve been working at an animal hospital for about a year, so I’m familiar/involved with some aspects of medicine (I can write one of my essays about this)
-I work 16 hours/week during the school year and 25/week over the summer
-Hosted a french exchange student in 10th grade, and will be an exchange student for 2 weeks in France this spring.
-I am also taking an online class this year (Veterinary Assistant) on top of my rigorous course schedule.</p>

<p>UAB has a nursing scholars program… insures admission into nursing upon completion of prenursing foundation and core courses (also has a traditional path too… but this would get you guaranteed admission)

The schools of Nursing and Medicine at UAB are among the nation’s best, according to the 2010-2011 U.S. News & World Report ranking of graduate schools. The School of Nursing is ranked 21st. Programs within the nursing school ranked highly as well: nurse practitioner (adult) program, 10th; nursing service administration program, 10th; nurse practitioner (family) program, 12th. The School of Medicine is ranked 30th in the research category and 10th in the primary care category.
