I wrote my GRE a month back and did not score very well… (Verbal: 151, Quantitative: 152). With just a few weeks left to the deadlines, I wonder if it is a good idea to write the GRE again with only a few weeks left to prepare. I am applying to top universities in the States for programs in Social Psychology, I have identified professors and labs to which I am a good fit.

I have been a good student receiving honors and with good extra curriculars and my recommendation letters should be positive. I also have a year’s work-ex and research experience too. Its just this nagging thought of the GRE scores that is bringing me down. Writing it again would mean investing more time towards the exam and lesser time on my applications, not to mention the expenses involved. But on the other hand, I am an international applicant and I guess Universities just expect a bit more from one.

In a major dilemma, would appreciate insight!
