Urgent Advice Needed

I h’ve done the SAT twice. The first time I did it I got 1550 though I did it cold and without any preperation. Plus I had my high school board exams for Physics Biology Math and Chem during the same period.
I studied for the SAT over summer and also in September.
I used to get around 2050 at home under test-like conditions but always in the designated time. The books I used were the COllege Board book and the Princeton review.
But I did the test in October and I thought i didn’t do too bad but I got a 1720.
The things which frustrate me are:
a) I worked much harder than many other ppl I know and they got nearly as much as me.
b) I am the 3-4th smartest person in my school, I am amazing at sciences and math.

I do know that the SAT is pretty much ******** in the sense that it does not really show if you will be successful at college or not.
I am doing it again in Dec and my main problem seems to CR.
I used to get 550-650 at home but I got a 490 in the exam.
Can someone tell me what I should do? Im all depressed and all at the moment because I have been excellent academically throughout my life but it seems like the SAT is the only thing Im not good at.

hmm… i seen people like u once in a while, getting depressed/mad about the SAT. its ok try harder in december. do u know why u went wrong though?? cuz ifu 're getting 2050s in practice, oh question, what test are u getting 2050s?? kapaln? PR? barrons? hope not,if so,i wouldn’t be surprised to see a 1720.
if it makes u feel any better, i went from a 1430 to a 2070~ i used collegeboard’s sources.
i’ll come back when u elaborate more~~

I was scoring 2050+ on the College Board book, u know the big fat blue book.
the Test went pretty well, I thought i did well on the Critical Reading but was shocked to get a 490. My parents just think I don’t know any english (with my 490) but I have been in a british school here for my whole life and we study all subjects in english.

hmm…maybe u should try out collegeboard’s practice test and other officially released tests. but usually bluebook gives u a good range of scores,so idkk wat happened o.o?
