Urgent- essay

I am applying to Loyola of Maryland, which has strong Jesuit traditions. However, I am Hindu, and wish to write my admission essay about a special moment I had at church. My essay was going to be centralized on the first time I sang a religious song and not understanding why it was so important to my family. But then, I will develop th story, with examples that when I started volunteering at church, I understood the importance of having strong morals and helping my community. Do this essay will work in my favor? Is it a good topic?

Sounds good. Go for it!

You could also add how you are accepting of others traditions as well regardless of religious affiliation.

But what you have so far sounds fine to me. They have to understand that everyone who applies to their university will not share their same religious beliefs, but rather their educational ones.
