Hello,
I have applied to UCLA as a math major student (3.56 gpa including one D in major prereq, TAP certified).
I received that D this Fall quarter. If I retake the class in Spring’16, will my D be replaced in final UC GPA?
Thank you!

No. Spring grades will not be used for admission, as admissions decisions come out in April, well before the Spring term ends. They will see that you plan to retake the course - if you get admitted, they will have a provisional requiring you to achieve a good grade (probably a B or higher, considering it’s a major req). If you do not meet the grounds of the provisional, then your admission will likely be rescinded.
If you reapply, then yes, the D will be replaced by the retaken grade.
