Urgent GPA question

I know this might be a displaced question as far as these boards, but I have an issue. I’m a history major and received a D+ in a 400 level history class. It says on the website of the department “To graduate with a major in history, thirty-six credit hours (normally twelve, three-credit courses) in history are required. Each course must be completed with a minimum grade of C- (1.67). An overall grade point average of at least 2.15 in all history courses is also required.”

The course is not being offered in the spring which is when I am supposed to be graduating. Judging by what this says, is it safe to assume I could take another 400 level course to “replace” this grade? I’m only posting here because waiting for the department people to get back to me is making me sweat bullets so I’d like a general opinion of some other people beforehand. Thanks!

Yes I would say it could be replaced by another 400 level class based on that info. They specified only 36 credit hours must be completed at the C-; if it was every history class, they would have said something about the major class requirements instead. Don’t sweat it. I analyze these things for friends a lot!
