Well, I visited my first choice college(Woodbury University) a week ago and I liked it…but I did not LOVE the campus. There were some disadvantages of the campus. Such as crappy caferteria food…they have no food courts at all, only has one caferteria in the entire campus, size of campus is only 22 acres(INCREDIBLY tiny!) which is way too small for me, no diversity whatsoever, college tuition is way too expensive! It cost roughly about $40K per year! There is only two things that is an advantage which is the physical appearance of the campus and that they offer great art majors. I’m planning to major in graphic design and they have a great design program there. My major problem is the cost to attend Woodbury University…its way too expensive!! I calculated of how much I owe after subtracting the financial aid money and the $7,500 scholarship…I still owe about $11-13K and I dont know how am I going to afford that. Both of my parents won’t be helping me to pay for college. My back-up colleges is either CSU Northridge or CSU San Bernardino. As of right now, I’m not really considering to attend Woodbury University anymore. I am so undecided of which college to attend…CSUN or CSUSB???
I think CSU Northridge has a better visual art program, but I saw some student reviews of both campus and there were many negative comments about CSUSB…What do you think I should do?? Should I still attend Woodbury University or not?

If it’s 11-13k a year, then that’s way too much. :/

How is Woodbury not diverse? If you mean by ethnicity, Collegeboard doesn’t agree:
9% Asian/Pacific Islander
10% Black/Non-Hispanic
32% Hispanic
35% White/Non-Hispanic

That’s fairly diverse for a private school…plus a decent amount of international students. It’s probably not as apparent in a small school.

I don’t know much about those CSUs, but I agree that you probably shouldn’t attend Woodbury. You seem to find it very unappealing after visiting the place…

CSUN has a very solid visual arts program and I know friends who have gone to top level MFA programs after attending CSUN. Woodbury is simply not worth the cost.
