URGENT! PlS HELP

Hi everyone so I took the SAT today and i did really poorly…

if you got a really bad score the first time (I got a 2090…) and then do very well on your second exam, is it held against you in admission to schools like Duke, UChicago, Columbia etc.? I really didn’t expect to do so badly :frowning:

  1. 2090 is not bad for a first try. Most applicants to these schools will take the test several times, even taking different tests like the ACT or Subject Tests to make up for scores.
  2. Read the individual college's score choice policy. Some allow you to send only your best score, while others require scores from all sittings. Don't stress even if this is the case, as if you retake it and get a better score, they will be able to see the effort put into improving.
  3. I'm assuming that you mean you took the May 2 test and got your scores back today. If this is the case, and you are a rising senior as your previous posts suggest, why have you not taken it before now? You have some ground to make up and limited opportunities between now and application time. It will be a crunch to fit in another SAT testing or two (and SAT Subject Tests as well for Columbia).
