My friend applied to only three schools, and they were all really selective. I was a little bit concerned about his selection, but he was confident he would get into one of them, his state flagship, despite its sub-50% acceptance rate.

Alas, he was finally rejected from his state flagship, leaving him 0/3 on college applications.

What can he do now? Does anybody know if there are any good four year universities (preferably geared towards math and science) that are still accepting applications? Or should he go to community college and try to transfer to a state school or something after a semester?

Thanks, I really want to help him out because I feel bad that I didn’t urge him to apply to another safety school or two while there was still time.
