Urgent Question About Wesleyan

Are the 2 teacher evaluations required for applying seperate from those on the common application? (Please only answer if you are positive.)

Thanks!!

Also, on the wesleyan website I found a guidance counselor survey form, but I didn’t see it as part of the supplemental materials on the commonapp website. I’m so confused, I thought the only supplement was the pre-application…can someone help me?

im bumping this b/c im desperate for a response…

Have you e-mailed Admissions for clarification? I know that my daughter had three teacher recs, but that is because Wesleyan required one from a humanities/social sciences teacher and she had already asked two science teachers for recommendations. Sorry I can’t help.

I’m not sure I understand your question.

If you’re asking whether you have to send in two teacher recommendations in addition to the two you sent in with the Common App, the answer is No. Wesleyan only requires two recommendations (unless you’re in a situation similar to hudsonvalley51’s d).

If you’re asking whether your teachers need to fill out Wesleyan’s evaluation form in addition to the Common App form, the answer is again No. One form will do.

If you’re asking whether your teachers can use the Common App form while you use Wesleyan’s application (or vice versa), the answer is Yes. Which form your teachers use doesn’t matter; it’s the information on the forms that is important.

At least last year, the pre-app was the only “supplement” to the Common App.

phew, thanks everyone, I think I got it now. I thought that I needed two teacher evaluations IN ADDITION to the letters of recommendation-- in other words, 4 teacher-related documents in total.

But now I know that Wesleyan wants two recommendations with the evaluation forms filled out (i.e. so its not just a letter). At least I think I know this much, lol.

Thanks again!
