Urgent question for a friend in need :(

Hi everyone, I just found out I got into UCLA, but my friend did not and I am and trying to help her out, since she only applied to 4 schools.

Some Stats:
4.2 GPA
1900+ SAT
ELC Status

She applied to UCLA as an engineer and was rejected, can she appeal as an arts and sciences applicant?

If she didnt apply to UCSB, UC Merced, or UC Davis, would she be able to call them on monday and turn in a late application? (UCSB and Merced guarantees all ELC applicants)

“The official fall 2006 filing period has closed. However, three campuses — Merced, Riverside and UCLA (School of Nursing only) — are still accepting applications to some programs and majors.” See http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/undergrad_adm/apply/apply_majors.html

“Freshman
Never regularly enrolled in
college following HS graduation”

But does that mean that I am eligible to apply if I am still in High School, or is that for people who took time off after HS?

If you will be a first-time freshmen this fall, that means you – whether you are in high school or already graduated (but just not enrolled in college yet).

You can’t appeal to apply as another type of applicant.

The application deadline has already long past. Merced and Riverside might be willing to accept really, really, really applications though.

This year’s UC’s selections are so hard to predict. Our school’s salutatorian was rejected at UCLA. Go figure.
