Urgent Question: Should I Take the December ACT this Late into the Game?

I have taken the SAT multiple times with a superscore of 2020, but have never taken the ACT and SAT Subject Tests before. I am an IB Diploma candidate with a 4.35/4.00 WGPA, high class rank in a competitive public school, unusual talent in the arts, and hold many national/state honors and leadership roles. I applied SCEA to Harvard but will be applying to other competitive schools for regular decision.

My question is, should I bother to sign up for the December ACT (with writing)? If I did take the ACT, it would allow me to apply to Yale/Yale-NUS and possibly a few other schools I am interested in. Also, I would be able to send my ACT score to the regular decision schools after receiving it, if I am not mistaken.

Thanks!

Oh, and I do not plan on taking any SAT II’s because all of the colleges I am applying to (other than Harvard, even though it highly recommends them) do not require them.

Your score is in the bottom quartile for H & Y, so unless you have something else really big on your resume, your chances of admission are really low.

But to answer your question, take a practice test (or two) at home and see how you do. A 32+ would work wonders for applications to highly selective schools.
