URGENT & RARE Recomm. Problem

Guys,

My 11th grade H. English teacher moved to Switzerland at the end of last year (I’m now a senior). However, he was still my definite #1 pick for a rec. letter since he knew me very very well. PROBLEM IS, I am applying EA, and he sent my letter to me almost 3 weeks ago (Europe-Cali usually takes 8 days) but most post offices in Switzerland are on strike right now, and they could not tell him how long it would take for it to reach me. ACTUAL KEY PROBLEM, is that he sent it TO ME, and then I was going to put it in my labeled 9x12 and send to Stanford. Therefore, if I do not get it TOMORROW, I will not be able to postmark by Tuesday, the 1st. What can I do?
EVERYTHING else was submitted last week.
Do you think that emailing/calling Stanford and explaining my rare situation could help me?

Please help!
Thank you guys

Yes, call them! This is a legitimate issue – you’re def. not lying about the postal strike!

call them asap!
