Except you’re not guaranteed UVa.
…and shortens your window to stand out in your cohort- leadership roles, for ex.
i had a 4.0 first year…
@college1223567 You said in your initial post you got a 3.9 both semesters… Nonetheless, that is a fantastic GPA to have, but I don’t think another semester at your current school will relieve all of the shortcomings you believe you had from high school. A 3.9 vs. 3.93 will not be what makes or breaks these decisions. I would choose from the list you have available now and make the most of every resource you can.
Which one do you recommend? They all seem about the same, should I go just based on fit?
Yes. You are the single biggest variable, and being in a.place that you feel confident and at home makes any job easier and more fun. Especially as the costs are the same,
Why do you think your options are “all about the same”? Multiple people have already stated what the differences are.
But yes, you definitely should go based on fit. If costs are about the same, why would you choose by different criteria amongst roughly the same tier of schools?
@collegemom3717 is right. Companies hire people. Schools matter in terms of their alumni network. Beyond that, it’s nearly completely what you bring to the table.
BTW, you still have been able to state why you’re aiming for the Street.
good exit ops
^ Good exit ops, again, come down mostly to what you yourself do and bring to the table. Different schools would have different opportunities but those have already been laid out for you.
