Maybe, maybe not. Some people around Chicago got their decisions on December 15, but some people actually in Chicago didn’t. Decisions are NOT available online. You’ll probably get it in time, but there’s no way to be sure. You might try calling them, like User suggested. They normally don’t give out decisions over the phone, but they might make an exception.

If it doesn’t come - and if a neighbor will be collecting your mail, you could ask if you could call or email them to determine if a big (9 by 12 or so) envelope from UChicago has arrived by, say, the 18th.

i called them regarding it because im going on vacation as well… you call them and change the address to where you’re going to be staying… they are not allowed to tell you over the phone

Hey elemental…where do you live abroad? This might be a little freaky, but the UChicago’s international FAQ page implies that only decisions other than admission offers “may” be emailed. Check that page.

hm… i live in singapore… i’d check that page… how else will we find out our decisions?! it took almost 2 weeks for my reports to reach chicago… and my teacher’s reco even got lost in the mail… if my decision envelope does get lost somewhere… i’d be crazy

It’s funny how all the other people on other boards are doing countdowns and we don’t do one because we don’t have a clear idea when decisions will be sent.
