If you get into UROP and elect to do it for credits rather than as a work study, how does that fit into the overall curriculum? Does it count as A’s for your gpa (or could you get less than an A)? Does it take the place of any certain classes, or is it elective credit?

If you take it for credit, it assumes the role of any other normal class. UROP is very easy and most people get A’s. For the fall semester you won’t get a grade, though. You’ll only get a ‘Y’ on your transcript. You’ll get a final grade at the end of it all in April and whatever grade you get will be posted on your transcript for both fall and winter semesters.
You cannot count UROP for distribution requirements or anything, but it counts towards the 120 (if you’re in LSA) you need to have by the time you graduate.
