Hey there, so I live in the middle east and i applied as a freshamn to UW along with a couple of my classmates who, unlike me, are not US citizens. They received an email this morning, all of them, stating that they’ve been accepted; however I have not received one. Now i heard that only international applicants get their admission notifications through email while US citizens get their notification through snail mail. I also heard that people with a US address get only snail mail notification while people with an international address, regardless their citizenship, get an email notification. So i’m guessing the first statement is true since i applied as a US citizen but put in my permenant address as international one? At first i thoguht it’s because i was rejected, but then i read somewhere on this forum that an international student also received an email stating they got rejected. I don’t know what to think, any opinions?

It’s not March 30 yet! Don’t worry too much about it :)

It looks like some internationally located people got emails then letter, some just got a letter, some have only the email to date. Since it’s a mix, keep an eye out for either a letter or an email! Also, make sure that it’s not going into your junk folder.

i see, but apparently it’s a set policy; US applicants get only snail mail, while international get email followed by snail.

Oh interesting. Is that new?

A friend of mine was a US citizen living in Singapore and she got an email before snail mail. This was two years ago though.

I’m a US citizen living abroad and I have an international address. I got an e-mail this morning. I wouldn’t stress if you haven’t gotten an e-mail yet because they’re still sending them out. Good Luck!

I just got it, i got accepted : D thanks guys, i really shouldn’t have stressed :P
