US history AMSCO?

I was wondering why so many people recommends this book. I thought it's published in like 2004 and is designed for the AP test. Also, the practice exam doesn't even have answers.

you can get the answers online.

it's not just an ap prep book...it's a full us history textbook. but it's condensed the info, and left out the florid, obnoxious language that most textbooks have. thus it also saves time by going straight to the necessary facts and it's easy to read.

and do you really think us history between 2004 and 2008 is a significant part of the sat 2?? they don't really even go past 1990, so it doesn't matter at all.

amsco is amazing!!! i read it through the vietnam war and got a 770 on my sat subject test. which isn't as awesome as an 800 i know, but i only took the test to balance out my math/science...i absolutely HATE history and i'm pretty bad at it. i was expecting a 650 max...so i far exceeded my goals/expectations. amsco definitely played a significant role in this score!
