My son has to spend an hour a day in the car going to and from his crew practice. He also needs to study for the US HIstory SAT II. I am wondering if anyone knows of good, entertaining resources that can be downloaded to his iPod or are in CD form that would help prepare him for the test. Seems like he should be able to put that time to good use. Thanks very much.

try Amazon and the itunes store…

Thanks Mombot, been there, done that and also I’ve already been to audible.com which lists hundreds of books. What I am hoping for from the pros here at College Confidential are recommendations for specific books.

The Teaching Company has an excellent set of CDs on US History-very interesting but not specifically geared to SAT test prep–more for adult learners with lectures by eminent history profs. From Columbus to Clinton is over 20 hours of listening.

Thank you pyewacket!

I second The Teaching Company. You will find a lot of their courses on CD at a public library.
