US History Subject Test/ AP?

I’m currently in AP U.S History and in May I’ll be taking the AP exam. Would it also be a good idea to take the SAT Subject test as well? Does the test focus primarily on the same material? thanks!

The AP exam and the Subject Test focus on very similar concepts. You would have sufficient preparation for both exams just by studying for APUSH. If I were you, though, I would purchase the College Board prep book with the released SAT US History exam, to gauge where you stand in terms of points, understanding, etc. If you feel that you need more practice and prep, buy a prep book designed for the SAT test. Otherwise, you should do well!

AP Essential Knowledge book by Larry Krieger is the best book for both SAT and APUSH. I read the book in 4 days before the SAT test and I did not take APUSH (IB program, AP not offered at my school) and I felt confident on the test. You should do very well.
