US News 2006 rankings

So apparently GW placed in 53rd place in the rankings this year, which is actually a slip down from 52nd last year. I know these things don’t really matter, but the school has been working so hard on new buildings, financial aid, etc. What else can they do to make it to top 50?

Increase peer assessment may improve the academics and lead to a higher level applicant

I don’t really think that GW has necessarily been working on its US News rankings. University President SJT has always dismissed the rankings.

i’m sure he wouldn’t dismiss them if they ranked the school in the top tier
