US News Through the Years

<p>I know people don’t like these kinds of lists, but I found this interesting. Don’t know if it is anywhere else on the website-</p>

<p>A lot of stuff remains the same, but there were a few radical changes from time to time. I suspect those have to do with changes in methodology.</p>

<p>bovertine: It does indeed have to do with changes in methodology. Since the things they purport to measure change only incrementally over time, they need to switch up the formulas regularly. This keeps everyone wondering who will come out on top THIS year, which spurs newsstand sales.</p>
