I didn't get this one, but I am curious about the recent stats.
According to the stats, they awarded 5,613 scholarships in 2007 but only 660 in 2009. In particular, there were >14,000 applicants in 2009, making the acceptance rate 4.6% (harder than getting into harvard). Does any one have a stats on how many they awarded in 2008? (I can count the names one by one, but too lazy to do a lot of work)

IDK anything about the stats but I am a recipient for the 2009 scholarship program. I just got notification today.

According to its annual report: 'USA Funds awarded nearly $8 million in USA Funds Access to Education Scholarships® to help more than 5,300 low- to moderate-income students pay college expenses for the 2008-2009 academic year.' How do you know there are 660 for this year?

Wow I got the scholarship both last year and this year. Is it really that difficult to get?

They’re very selective in what states have “priority” in winning. Nevertheless, D will try again this year.
