Every four years Consumer Reports compiles an Airline Customer Satisfaction Survey. USAir scored “worst” in 2007 and 2011. What are the chances for a three-peat in 2015? Does anyone see any challengers on the horizon?

[US Airways lands lowest satisfaction ratings in flier survey - CNN.com](http://www.cnn.com/2011/TRAVEL/05/10/us.airways.low.satisfaction/index.html?hpt=Sbin)

I gotta say…my biggest beef with USAir is that they have a hub in Philly. I’m not sure whether it’s USAir or Philly…but I would sell my soul to the devil rather than connect a flight in Philly.

Ugh - I think I’m flying with them when I go to England to visit my Mum and brother in June. Guess that’s why the ticket was so cheap.

just checked - it is United for the domestic part, Continental for the international. Not flying through Philly (which I guess is a good thing?).

I suppose I’m fortunate. I’ve taken two hundreds flights during the past ten years, and I’ve only been abandoned three times. Those three abandonments … “Your connecting flight has been canceled, and since it’s now after midnight …” were in Philadelphia, Phoenix, and Philadelphia again. (Need I say more?)

I’ve never had any issues with USAir. Continental however, nothing but delays and screwups.

thumper, you hit the nail on the head! Any airline with a major hub in Philly is just asking for low raitings. I avoid that airport (as well as LAX and O’Hare) as much as possible!

Surprised that Virgin America didn’t make it to the top of the satisfied list with Jet Blue and SWA. Limited markets perhaps?

I would guess its Philly not US air. I’ve flown US air for 30+ years and dont have issues unless I connect through Philly. Nearly every time and the later in the day it only gets worse. So if I cant avoid it I aim for Philly early in the morning before things have an opportunity to pile and screw up!

I sort of don’t care. With relatives living all over the nation, my strategy is to develop absolutely no loyalty to any one airline. I hawk for the best advance prices and that’s that. I believe that over the years I’ve saved, even though I get no mileage points from anyone.

I always assume when flying I’ll be slightly dissatisfied with the experience, but glad to arrive. I say “thank you” when the FA’s say “buh-bye.”

Most people I know care more about the cost of the flight than the service.
