USB Stick Memory Size for college

Is this serious or another spin-off from that pencil thread?

I got my 256MB for $7 brand new after rebates. It’s Sandisk too, not a weird no-name brand.

Wow, that’s a really good price. The lowest I’ve seen 256 MB sized ones cost is $20.

Ahem…

either buy one for a good price on ebay (but make sure you look at the shipping cost before you hit buy it now) or take a look in your sunday paper.

In todays paper I got ads from Best Buy, Circuit city, CompUSA, Office Max, and Office Depot and every one of them had some sort of large rebate on a usb drive. A quick glance at the best buy ad shows a Lexar 512 usb2.0 drive for $29 after rebate. Circuit city has the same deal as well as a 256mb stick for $14.

The best deal you can get is to buy big. Arcos makes a 20GB flashdrive which is about the size of a quarter inch thick drink coaster for (looks on circuitcity.com) for $180. Its expensive compared to a 512MB one, but the price per MB isn’t even close. It’ll last you forever and you can do some heavy-duty backing up. Loads of music and all sorts of stuff. Its incredibly small for its memory too. consider it

I heard that a memory stick abpve 128 mgs tends to distort data and files so you should but 2,3 stick if you need to rather than a 512 or a gig stick …has anyone else heard that?
