USC 2009 transfer thread

i’m finally home!

it says, “Dear Pamela, Congratulations! I am pleased to offer you admissions to the University of Southern California as part of the entering class of fall 2009…”

i don’t want to spoil anymore for you guys. i got a headache trying to work on my film report in the car, so now i have to work super hard to finish the rest of it. more about the package later

oh my gosh!! congratulations zamela!!! i’m super happy for you!!! you’re so lucky that you didn’t have to wait long at all.

w o w.

congrats!

dang man. you are SUPER lucky. like unbelievably lucky. i envy you. raawwrr. but i’m soooooooooo happy for you.

So… I got rejected to that one school called UCLA. Heartbreaking? maybe. But, the main worry I have is that I might hear rejections from USC as well.
This gives me the shivers, and makes my heart rush.
Has anyone that concurrently applied to UCLA and USC get their decisions?

alarasus- I applied to UCLA too but i havent heard anything yet. I would rather go to USC tho. What’s your major?

My major is Biophysics, but I regret putting as that. I should have put biology, since I only finish 5/10 of the prereqs for the latter. I put Biology for my alternative major.
My GPA for USC is 3.88 up-to-date
my UC gpa was same as my overall college GPA 3.74
a pretty big difference due to this upper division computerscience course I took in my first quarter of freshman year which does not even count for anything.

Wow. Congrats Zamela. That is awesome. Can’t believe that you heard this early. I want to hear back so bad, without an SGR request.

Good luck everyone. Hopefully within 3 weeks most of us will have heard something.

Zamela… CONGRATULATIONS!!!

This must be the start of the BEST WEEKEND EVER for you!!! lol

What were your stats?

Guys, we need to start a TRANSFER DECISION THREAD FOR 2009, PRONTO!!!

And use it STRICTLY for SGR updates, or admission updates, WITH gpa, ECs, etc. Just like last year!

^

YEaa we definitely need a stats page started

if the uSC website allows you to log into oasis-- is that a good sign? or does everyone get into the oasis portal…?

I logged into OASIS today for the first time, after having tried several times before, and I got in!

But I can’t get in again!

What’s going on?

https://camel.usc.edu/OASIS/Login.aspx</a> (password is MMDDYY)

When you use that link to get into OASIS, do you have full access to the USC student services? I do, which is sort of giving me false hope. But hey, I guess any hope is good at this point. :)

alarasus - I applied to UCLA & USC… admitted to UCLA. If you read my earlier posts on here, I won’t know if I’m admitted to USC until July.

wow.
just wow.

congratulations  April 25th marks the day for the earliest transfer acceptance for 2009.

And so it begins…

Congratulations, Zamela.

And so it does begin. I hope we all get to experience this soon. USC is the only place I truly wish to attend.

Got rejected from fucla today, though I practically knew it was coming and I’m not sure I could’ve brought myself to attend either. So maybe it was a good thing…

Congratulations Zamela!! You’re so lucky to get accepted so early : )

archieg, are u sure you’re using your new password? I was finally able to log onto the OASIS website too and they made me pick a new password. So if you’re still using your birthday as your password, it’s likely it won’t work anymore.

It’s strange cause I was never able to log onto that OASIS site either! I also got that “financial aid being reviewed” message.

i just finished my film paper and i’m exhausted. my weekend has finally started! i don’t feel like checking UCLA right now.
