USC 2009 transfer thread

is mission college a community college zamela??

Hey zamela, did you get any money? How do they notify you if you get scholarship or not?

aaam90- Mission College is a community college in Santa Clara. it’s like 10 minutes away from San Jose.

tatty- i didn’t get my financial aid award yet. it’s still under review after i submitted my papers on the 24th

how does housing work? i just used the auto search option and everyone is like 17 or 18 years old. i’m turning 20 soon. do i HAVE to pick a roommate in order to get the room i want? i hope the rest of you get your packages soon. if anyone needs a roommate, please let me know! two years is not that big of a difference, but i don’t really want to be the creepy or weird transfer girl they always talk about on the College Life CC board. it would be nice to room with another transfer student or someone my age

YAY! Im so happy for you Zamela! WHOO!!!

Steamboy25, I get the “same financial aid being reviewed” message. Let’s hope that it’s something good ? :)

so zamela,

if you don’t mind me asking. why all the way to santa barbara for another community college???

i finished all my of requirements early and i had a free semester to take fun classes. my boyfriend goes to ucsb, so i decided to move to sb for a semester. i really like it at SBCC cause it’s right next to the beach!

Got rejected from UCLA today. Hopefully I hear better news from USC!!! I always thought UCLA and USC had similar acceptance rates/standards for transfers so this makes me a little nervous. Congrats Zamela! Did anyone else apply to Communications for UCLA? Why did I pick one of the most impacted majors?! :)

zamela! you are so freaking lucky!!! i <3 santa barbara too, i dont live there but i know psych is based there and i love pysch!!
i was accepted to ucla yesterday though :)

congrats zamela!!!

this is officially the beginning of our big haul people. hopefully it all ends with fantastic news!!!

I want to find out already…the anticipation is killing me

congrats zamela! acceptance #1

Does anyone have the link/know about last year’s applicants and who did/didn’t get in after receiving a request for spring grades?

So i have question for everybody. I currently go to the University of Michigan and I will be taking my last final on Tuesday and coming back to my home in California his coming Thursday.

I requested the University of Michigan to send a copy of my spring grades as soon as they are submitted. Would it be a bad idea if my grades are sent to USC before they request for them to be sent?

fellow wolverine why are you leaving? And if your grades are good send them

by the way, i also got rejected from UCLA

i just logged in my application and mine doesn’t say that they are reviewing my financial aid like some of yours do. i hope that’s not a bad sign! ahh i don’t think i can wait until june 1

zamela, i got rejected from UCLA too.

but i totally based my classes and stuff at my current school for a USC transfer and UCLA i applied on a last minute whim. so i really don’t care at all.

hopefully more people start getting updates or SGRs soon. this is exciting.

omg, i can’t wait to hear from USC, just got accepted to UCLA yesterday, but I actually prefer USC for my major (biz).

I asked this before, but has anyone heard from Marshall??? I’m so impatient rite now!
