<p>I actually went to high school in Northern California where I grew up and then ended up moving to LA for work. I just went back to school last summer; I’m 21 which I guess a bit older than a usual sophomore applicant :).</p>

<p>Haha Zirc, it’s a positive thing that everyone isn’t applying for Biology or related sciences. Biology is the most impacted major in the university of california schools, which makes it pretty hard to get into.</p>

<p>When I spoke to a counselor they said it just had to be by the Fall semester (so, any classes taken in summer would count toward your unit total). I hope this remains true, because I’m banking on it!</p>

<p>Red - I put down critical studies only as a backup. If I get into the university but not into production or critical studies, I probably will not go to USC. I really want the film school and specifically production. I am willing to put down critical studies as a second choice major because you can still take production classes even if you are in critical studies.</p>

I hate UCs, all the courses have to be completed BY spring. Isn’t that irrational? Why not allow students to finish courses during the summer, I mean they arn’t students until fall.</p>

<p>I gave the admissions office a call two weeks ago, and they informed me that app review for transfer students just began that week. Assuming they’re correct, our apps pretty much have a little more than a month to get reviewed. Is it just me, or does that make anyone else a little nervous? I applied for Marshall btw.</p>

<p>Does it ultimately matter how many credits you have? Basically, does it matter if you are a sophomore or junior? Does it affect your admission in any way? Are they less likely to accept a sophomore transfer?</p>

<p>One-way: Are you sure that they started reviewing two weeks ago? Because in the middle of March, I received a phone call from admission office asking for my unofficial Winter & Spring transcript to make sure I have enough units. Maybe SCA started reviewing earlier… What is your major?</p>

<p>Guys, I’ve fallen into a bout of depression thinking constantly about all this existential crap (as lame as that sounds) and I’ve essentially pushed away two of my closest friends (physical altercations ftw) and my girlfriend. I have also slacked BIG TIME at work and at school. I got in trouble this morning for calling in sick when I was supposed to cover for, of all people, my supervisor. Also, I had all of spring break to do schoolwork and study, and now school is back in and I have done zero. All I’ve done is drink and smoke cigarettes for the past week.</p>

<p>I found out today that I got dropped from my biology lab (and thus, also my biology lecture) for missing two labs in a row.</p>

<p>I’m just kinda venting right now, but can someone tell me something insightful? ha :(</p>
