Hm, yeah I think I’ll do that and give them a call first. Thanks aam90!

getyourownbox- i know the feeling

o and i like ur username. haha

What is USC admission rate for transfers?
Is it lower than UCLA?

My mom got to talk to Financial Aid today. She asked about decisions regarding transfer students and the lady said they sent out mostly rejection letters. Maybe it’s a good thing we’re not hearing anything. I mean, I know you’re not suppose to really hear by around June 1st but still…I’m guessing the ones that don’t hear will get asked for a SGR or accepted. Hmmmm.

realllyyy linsper!!! that’s crazy news. i mean, it contradicts all conclusions reached thus far which were discerned from last years thread! i didn’t know they just reject people off the bat like that.

it kind of makes me happier that i haven’t heard anything yet or that anyone on here hasn’t either. BUT then again, you never know with these counselors. they always tell different stories.

aaam90, they’re a private school and they’re USC. They do as they please lol

HAHA boarderbry. you’re definitely right.

alasarus, i have no clue about the acceptance rates for transfers for either school. maybe you could try over in the UC transfer section?? then let us know. :)

I guess that makes sense. You have to think that some people apply who don’t meet certain requirements by a large margin and USC would be able to send out those letters right away.

thats definitely good news!

that also makes sense though, there are obviously applicants who do not meet USC’s standards. so the obvious outliers probably received rejections, which also means that those who were not flat out rejected will have to wait longer for their applications to get evaluated.

haahah amorrison, jinx!

I hope these grades are skewed, everyone stats in this forum I’m seeing are like 3.9’s I feel like a loser with my lowly 3.7

aam90-I wasn’t aware of it either. And that’s true, counselors tell different dates to everybody. You never fully know the truth. One counselor may say 2 weeks, another may say in 3 weeks you found out. It can make your head spin. Haha.

alasarus -

i think it depends on your major and the school that you applied to. they usually have the information on their designated pages, you should check it out.

that’s also true. blehh. it just seems like USC is doing things different this year. which isn’t a bad thing. i wish they let everyone know at once though so our thread would blow up with all these acceptances. hehe. :)

@ trojanhopeful

I saw a lot of variety in the acceptance thread from 2008, a fair amount of 3.5’s and 3.3’s even… I wouldn’t worry too much! It really sounds like USC looks at the whole package.

i’m thinking a lot of the change has to do with the economy. it seems logical that usc would take necessary precautions to stabilize their incoming students. if they notify students of acceptances faster, they won’t make commitments to other schools? idk just a tthought

trojanhopeful: don’t wish that our grades our skewed! we worked hard for the GPAs and yours is still great! my boyfriend got in last year with a 3.3 albeit it was a spring admit but he still got in. so in comparison, 3.7 is great.

uscplease777 and amorrison: your posts are SOOO alike it’s funny ahaha.

aam90-Not saying that you don’t deserve your gpa I just hope that not every applicant I’m competing with is at a 3.9+, obviously people on this site are more dedicated–that’s what I mean by skewed, as in not getting the whole picture of who is applying.
Also I would be super psyched even to get a spring admit

aaam90 - hahaha i know i laughed after i compared the two
